Environmental Commitment

Environmental Commitment

TDX Global is committed to conserving natural resources and minimizing our impact on the planet. Three key initiatives within TDX Global’s environmental sustainability effort are: Energy Conservation, Recycling/eCycling, and Waste Reduction.

Energy Conservation

We strive to minimize our electricity consumption by requiring all employees to optimize operating system power efficiency settings of workstations, laptops, and servers. Recently we have modified our hardware procurement policy to require that all new hardware we acquire meets or exceeds the ENERGY STAR version 5.0 specifications (effective July 1, 2009). TDX Global is also proud to participate in the Blue Sky Renewable Energy Program offered by our local power supplier. This program helps promote the use and viability of regional wind-energy facilities.

TDX Global has in-house recycling program for paper products, cardboard, fluorescent bulbs, aluminum cans, and office supplies. We also have a strict policy regarding safe disposal of discarded electronic products. Our eCycling program is designed to keep harmful materials (e.g. lead, mercury, and hexavalent chromium) out of local and global landfills by both donating equipment to organizations that specializing in the reuse of old electronics and bringing obsolete electronics waste to a local recycler specializing in hazardous electronic equipment.

Waste Reduction

We strive to reduce the waste we generate by encouraging employees to use reusable mugs and silverware instead of disposable paper cups and plastic utensils. To reduce paper and ink use we have implemented printing policies that limit paper printing and copying to essential documents only. Additionally, we request that our customers help reduce the waste we generate by accepting delivery of our software products via online download instead of on physical media (e.g. CD-ROMs). This approach helps keep our costs low, reduces delivery time, and minimizes resource usage.

We are continuously working to improve our resource efficiency and welcome any suggestions you may have to help us reduce our environmental footprint.
